Colour Your World

Who hasn’t spent hours colouring in an adult colouring book? Invariably, one of the markers I use runs out and I ruin the picture by introducing a new colour. Enter the Colouring for Adults app and gone are the markers that seem to dry up with just a hint of humidity in the air. Now I’m whipping off pictures in less than 15 minutes and there’s no end in sight. It has become an addiction. It also lets me multi-task when I listen to a podcast. Although, I tend to not do anything except focus on Joe Scott (Answers with Joe) YouTube podcasts because weirdly enough, we seem to share the same sense of humour and facial expressions which is oddly comforting. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC-2YHgc363EdcusLIBbgxzg

Back to the drawing board, the colouring app provides ample mandalas and some animal/flower pics to colour in. I am a fan of love and flowers, but I don’t need hearts and floral arrangements to take centre stage in every picture. You can choose three ways to colour in, paint (has a water colour feel), bingo mark (choosing the size of circle) and the bucket (fill ‘er up). You can decide if you want to keep the lines or remove them. Personally, I prefer to remove them, you get more pattern.

They provide a variety of palettes. Here are a few of my creations utilizing the above techniques:

Watercolour Feel
Bingo Blot.
Fill ‘er up!

The added bonus of this app is you can save your creations on your computer and you can colour over and over again, or you can pay some money and add 250 more pictures to your roster. Colour therapy is great but it doesn’t wash the dishes.
